When it comes to Spider-Man and Daredevil, these two are like frienemies.  Both are superheroes, both teamed up with each other many times but both have also fought each other many times.

You would imagine that for superheroes, they get along just peachy, but nope, these guys (primarily Spider-Man) is always wanting to one-up Daredevil.

And in this issue #77 from June 1971, we have both Peter Parker and Matt Murdock, having issues with women.

Peter Parker losing Gwen Stacy after the death of her father and Matt Murdock, always having issues with telling Karen Page that he loves her.

But Peter Parker is always ticked off that the media sees him as a bad guy, while Daredevil is always treated as a hero.

As both mens are facing their emotional issues, something mysterious is calling out to Namor.   Daredevil is sensing the big light from the distance thanks to his radar sense and when he assumes it was Namor, Daredevil aims to fight Namor alone.

But Spider-Man wanting to prove he’s a good guy wants to show the public that, so he tries to one-up Daredevil by trying to beat Namor.

The issue also showcases a blonde Mary Jane and a lonely Karen Page desperately wanting Matt to choose her than be Daredevil.

So, you get a good balance of action and drama in this issue alone.

If you want to read part two, you have to get the Namor issue #40 (August 1971).
