Welcome to “My Comic Book Journey”

Welcome to “My Comic Book Journey”.

I wanted to create a separate site focusing on comic books, separating it from my main sites (dennisamith.com) and my work for J!-ENT and Neo-Tokyo2099.

So, who am I? Well, for many years, I was an entertainment writer, film critic, music critic and have written thousands of product reviews.

I am also a long time reviewer of comic books.

I was a person who grew up reading comic books. It was part of my life as a child and also part of my life as an adult (professionally) and have had good friends in my life who worked in the industry.

And I still have my longtime comic book collection to this very day.

But I admit to have forgotten about my comic book collection and as I get older, I have made decision to revisit and go through these long neglected comic book boxes.

And to reread these comic books which entertained me at a young age or comics that I had, but never read them until now (yes, the backlog is crazy!).

And share that passion of nostalgia with other comic book fans out there.

Please use the search function of this website to find a title or comic book author. I apologize as I don’t update this site as often as I would like, but I look at this as a longtime project that will be updated overtime.

Last but not least, I am not going to write essay-based blog posts on comic books as I do with my cinema reviews. Otherwise, it becomes work!

So, I’ll blog about my thoughts without being too verbose.
