“The Amazing Spider-Man” issue #800 is around the corner and for Marvel Comics to make something special and exciting, they have no doubt done something shocking and yet very cool with the “Go Down Swinging” arc.
And for issue #799, writer Dan Slott has no doubt created something special that even myself, an oldschool fan, is quite excited about.
In this issue, Red Goblin (Green Goblin/Norman Osborn has joined with the Carnage symbiote) and has literally kicked Spider-Man’s ass and broke his left leg in the process.
Red Goblin who knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man has made a deal, give up the power, give up the responsibility and give up being Spider-Man and he will let them live. Otherwise, everyone he cares about will die.
So, Peter Parker has found a way to bypass this and stay within the deal by having his friends protect those important to him.
Human Torch, Miles Morales, Silk, Anti-Venom (Flash Thompson), Clash (Clayton Cole) agreed to help.
Meanwhile, Liz Allan is upset that Emma (who was long thought to be dead) has taken the kids, Norman and Stanley.
As Liz finds a way to find her kids, unfortunately, Red Goblin has found them and the group does all they can to stop him.
But with the Carnage Symbiote plus Green Goblin’s power, the weaknesses of the symbiote which Spider-Man has beaten it before, is now immune to those weaknesses.
So, now what? Why is Red Goblin after the kids and what plans does he have? And who can stop the Red Goblin?
Suffice to say, this issue was so exciting that I can’t wait to see how things end up in issue #800.
