Another battle between Spider-Man vs. Daredevil!  ‘Nuff said!

TITLE: Daredevil The Man Without Fear! vol. 1, issue #17

YEAR: June 1966

COMPANY: Marvel Comics

STORY: Stan Lee

PENCILS: John Romita

INKING: Frankie Ray

LETTERING: Sammy Rosen

Spider-Man is incredibly angry towards Daredevil, to the point that Spider-Man has went to the law offices of where Matt Murdock works and thinks Foggy is Daredevil (as he doesn’t suspect Matt because he is blind).

Of course, for Foggy seeing how Karen Page is acting so concern about him, Foggy decides to lie and pretend that he may be Daredevil, making Matt wonder why Foggy is putting himself through this.

As Daredevil leaves to let off some steam, he overhears executives discussing “The XB-3901” engine.

Daredevil decides in order to trap the men, he needs Spider-Man’s help and to get Spider-Man to come, he’ll need to upset him and what best than for him to give J. Jonah Jameson news about Spider-Man.

This leads J. Jonah Jameson going on TV to announce that Spider-Man is working with the Marauders to steal a formula to make the XB-3901 work.

Needless to say, the new captures Peter Parker’s attention and now as Spider-Man, he is going to confront Daredevil which leads to a fight between both superheroes.

But their fight is shortlived as the Marauders are now managing to approach a building, which leads Spider-Man taking them on, as Daredevil goes after their leader.

Needless to say, it’s always fun to see these two heroes fight each other.  It’s happened many times before, as they have teamed up but often fought each other.  Interesting enough, it’s typically in moments where Spider-Man is very upset or emotionally frustrated.

In this issue, Daredevil realizes the power of Spider-Man, but later in the future, as they would fight each other, Daredevl would actually outsmart Spider-Man in battle.

But overall, a solid 17th issue for the “Man without fear”.
