The latest issue kicks off with a fight between Daredevil vs. Kraven the Hunter, and Kraven gaining the upperhand and throwing Daredevil off a cliff, which gives Black Widow a chance to strike and knock Kraven out.

As for Daredevil, somehow he survived the throw off the cliff and when he awakes, he sees a beautiful, bald woman who quickly punches Daredevil and she reveals herself as Moon Dragon.

The following issue is the first appearance of Moon Dragon and also establishes her origin as a human girl named Heather Douglass whose parents were killed and taken in by an alien man who takes her to his world on Titan.

As the man wanted to raise the girl, unfortunately the family had their own problem with a rambunctious son named Thanos.

Raised by monks, she learned and studied to excel as an athlete, martial artist, geneticist, engineer, telepath, telekinetic and the world that she called home, Titan, would be the planet which a mad being named Thanos would take over after overthrowing his mother.

And as she learned that Daredevil is a good man, an evil being known as Dark Messiah has arrived to cause problems.

If anything, the reason what makes this issue special is the Moon Dragon first appearance, origin and the fact that it has a connection to Thanos (as Thanos’ father is who rescued her and brought her to Titan).

It’s important to note that while it’s the first Moon Dragon appearance, Moon Dragon went by Madame MacEvil, earlier that year in 1973 in “Iron Man” issue #54, so technically the first appearance is the “Iron Man” issue.
