First, let me preface with the fact that I am both a huge fan of “Daredevil” and “X-Men”.  In fact, I own nearly every issue of Daredevil with the exception of the first 12 issues from the ’60s up to the ’90s and many X-Men issues from 140’s and up.

I am a huge fan of Wolverine and I’ve always felt that the original Logan probably would make his return.  It was all about how?

With “Hunt for Wolverine: Weapon Lost” issue #1, Daredevil has been contacted by Kitty Pryde and he has been give the task of finding out what happened to Logan, as his body is not in its grave.

And for this job Daredevil gets two people to help him out, the Inhuman Frank McGee (foremer NYPD), the other is Misty Knight, ex-NYPD and last, is Cypher (yes, the least like person from the New Mutants way back then and then X-Men and X-Factor).

The first issue is pretty much the story of how Daredevil chooses his group to search for Logan, so the first issue is primarily an introduction.

While I’m giving these “Hunt for Wolverine” a chance, as a long time reader, for those who have followed the X-Men, they really never had to go out of their mutant circle like this.

Personally, if Kitty Pryde really wanted to find Wolverine, all she would have to do is get Old Man Logan or heck, Sabretooth a try!  Granted, those two are busy with Weapon X but it would have been my goto characters as they are excellent trackers.

But apparently looking at an ad, Sabretooth will be featured in “Hunt for Wolverine: Claws of a Killer”, while Spider-Man, Iron Man and I think it’s Luke Cage and Jessica Jones trying to find him in “Hunt for Wolverine: Adamantium Agenda”, while Psylocke, Storm, Rogue, Domino and Jubilee are featured in “Hunt for Wolverine: Mystery in Madripoor”.

Another thing that I didn’t like, it looks like Cypher has aged considerably in this issue.  Often presented as a young man, in this issue, he looks way older like someone in his 40’s or 50’s.

Also, when they encounter Misty Knight, Daredevil walks in the bar and everyone pays no mind and has a chat with Misty.

But knock on wood, these four characters will bring something cool in terms of storyline and character interaction for issue 2.

We’ll see…
