In an earlier post, I wrote about “Patsy and Hedy”, an early teen romance comic book series from Male Publishing which would become Marvel Comics and Patsy Walker would later become a superhero known as Hellcat.

Originally a title that was worked on by Stan Lee and Al Hartley (which started back in 1952), in issue #95, Patsy Walker and Hedy Wolfe (who are friends and rivals similar to Archie Comics’ Betty and Veronica) graduated from high school and by issue #96, they were now career girls.

While “Patsy and Hedy” was a popular comic book at the time, there was also another Patsy Walker comic book that came out earlier titled “Patsy Walker”.

Created back in 1945, by issue #110 and prior to graduation, Patsy has been thinking about careers.

And she is able to score a summer job at M.M. Madison Co. as Mr. Barkley’s assistant.

But When Hedy spots Patsy with another guy  (her boss offered to give her a ride back home), needless to say, Hedy asks what Patsy is doing and Patsy tells her that she’s become a junior clerk at M.M. Madison Company.

And knowing Hedy, she’s always in Patsy’s business and has her father get her a job to become a Senior Clerk.  Thinking she could boss Patsy around.  So, what happens when Hedy becomes a Senior Clerk?

In the second story, it’s a Beach Party and Patsy, Hedy and Nan are deciding on a swimsuit.  When Patsy chooses to wear her favorite, yet older black swimsuit, Hedy tells her its out of style.  But Patsy decides to wear it anyway.  How will the others at the party react?

In the third and final story, a crook named Nails Nelson has arrived at Centerville and F.B.I. Agents are on the lookout.  But what happens when Patsy walks to her friend Nan’s home?

Overall, similar to the “Patsy & Hedy” comic books with three stories and many word boxes of fashion designed by readers, plus pages featuring hairstyle fashions by readers.

For the most part, storylines that include Patsy and the meddlesome Hedy once again.
