My journey of re-reading “Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew!” continues!

Thanks to celebrity interviewer Rova Barkitt (Yankee Poodle), she was able to get the group recognized by the President Mallard Fillmore.

But unfortunately, the celebration was short as Brother Hood, the manager of the secret cabal known as A.C.R.O.S.T.I.C. is back again and this time he has sent three of his special operatives to conquer the land, the air and sea.

Knowing the must stop them, the group has to break into three teams, Captain Carrot and Alley-Kat-Abra to check on the air, Fastback and Yankee Poodle to check on land and Rubber Duck and Pig Iron in the sea.

In tis issue, we have Captain Carrot and Alley-Kat-Abra taking on the ’50s buzzard, Jailhouse Roc.  While Fastback and Yankee Poodle take on Kongaroo and Rubber Duck and Pig Iron facing off Frogzilla (as featured on the cover).

Amazingly, Roy Thomas does a wonderful job of creating a jam-packed issue with plenty of stories but also establishing the characters and teamwork.

This issue does reveal the identity of Brother Hood but if anything, we get three action adventures plus a fitting end to the Brother Hood saga (for now!).

If anything, reading this issue again and the previous issues, made me realize of how awesome these comics were.  A shame the comic book series was not made into an animated series but or a toyline (despite being featured on “Robot Chicken”) but nevertheless, an action-packed, entertaining issue of “Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew!”.
