Back in issue #58, Dr. Doom has stolen the Silver Surfer’s cosmic powers and now has control of the Silver Surfer’s surfboard and now Dr. Doom is the most powerful being on Earth.

Showboating by being a jerk and ruining everyone’s day trying to prove a point that if anyone crosses him, they’ll be hell to pay.

As the Fantastic Four watch as Dr. Doom carries a freight with the cosmic power, Ben is seething because Reed is not doing anything to stop him.

Ben wants to take on Dr. Doom, but Reed tells him that he is working with the military to create a weapon that can help stop Dr. Doom.

Meanwhile, Wyatt Wingfoot comes and says that Johnny has went to take on Dr. Doom by himself.

As Johnny/Human Torch should know, Dr. Doom is too powerful and with Human Torch thinking he could use high heat and his quick speed to stop Dr. Doom, Dr. Doom turns his body into a diamond and creates a cyclone which envelops the Human Torch.

As the Fantastic Four go to find Johnny, Ben has had enough and goes to fight Dr. Doom and needless to say, Dr. Doom is able to emit just as much power against Ben that even Ben realizes that he’s in deep pain but he needs to keep fighting.

As Reed and Sue try to escape from Dr. Doom who tries to break the ground around them and has a fiery pit waiting for them, will Reed and Sue find a way to outwit Dr. Doom?

Overall, while a good battle between the Fantastic Four vs. Dr. Doom, you would think Ben and Johnny would know that taking on Dr. Doom alone is not smart at all.

Needless to say, it’s good they had two other members using their heads, because it was an interesting conclusion to this storyline.

You also get a little Silver Surfer and the Inhumans featured as well!
