With Captain Marvel coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and really enjoying “The Avengers: Infinity War”, I heard there is a possibility that “Secret Invasion” may be featured in the near future.
As “Captain Marvel”/”Ms. Marvel” comic books have featured the never-ending war between the Kree vs. Skrull, and having had an interest over the years of reading comic books, I figured that I wanted to read a few of the “Secret Invasion” comics and why not check out a “Ms. Marvel” Secret Invasion storyline featuring Carol Danvers.
And with the last issue #27, we learned that things are not going well with Ms. Marvel.
The Skrulls kidnapped her boyfriend (not knowing if he’s dead or alive), the Skrulls are mimicking Marvel Superheroes and regular citizens, the Skrulls blew up her ship and killing many people and with everything in shambles, she has a one night stand with Simon Williams (Wonder Man).
And now she finds herself fighting for her life against the Skrulls.
But as everyone knows that when it comes to Ms. Marvel, not only is she the toughest at what she does, she’s the last person these Skrulls want to piss off. And when she gives a smirk and starts to enjoy killing Skrulls, Ms. Marvel may be the game changer in ending this Secret Invasion!
Overall, a pretty cool storyline. It’s action-driven but if you spent so much time reading about the Skrulls infiltrating Earth, assimilating and taking over human and superhero identities (as well as murdering many humans), you can’t help but root for Ms. Marvel to kick some butt!
Another exciting, action-packed issue featuring Ms. Marvel (before becoming Captain Marvel).
