When George Perez left the Teen Titans comic books, many have hoped that Marv Wolfman and George Perez would reunite someday again.

In December 1988, “New Teen Titans” would go through a title change and the comic would be renamed to “The New Titans” as the characters were no longer teens. The issue would also feature the return of George Perez as artist and we would see the reunion of Wolfman/Perez.

Issue #50 is the first part of the “Who is Wonder Girl?” of a four-part series.

The story begins with an older woman in search of Donna Troy.

As the Titans take on alien technology that brings them against vicious aliens.

After the battle, the woman looking for Donna Troy brings her memories back to her and Donna starts to realize that there is a period in her life that is missing.  From the moment she was a baby and survived in a fire up to joining the Titans, all her memories as a child and teenager were all a lie.  But who is this older lady that has come for Donna?

And thus this setups a storyline as the Titans help Donna learn more about her true self.

If anything, I remember enjoying the look of the comics because it had better paperstock and colors were vibrant.   And loving what DC had done due to the higher quality of paper.

But if anything, this issue was special because the Wolfman/Perez duo were back together once again!
