As many are trying to get their hands on the highly hyped “Weapons of Mutant Destruction” which would feature the Weapon X program creating a Wolverine/Hulk hybrid.
Issues 19 and 20 of “The Totally Awesome Hulk” were so difficult to find that people were selling them nearly six times the normal amount. Fortunately, Marvel Comics released the second printing and for those of us who were never able to get our hands on the comic, are able to read the story a few months later.
In this issue, Weapon X scientists is doing tests on their Batch F Drones and Sabretooth and Old Man Logan are investigating multiple deaths in San Marco.
Meanwhile, Amadeus Cho (Hulk) and Yuriko Oyama (Lady Deathstrike) visit a church in order to get information about Dave and Bobby Andrews and the “Human Potential Workshop” they are involved with.
And Weapon X continues to find ways to perfect the process of creating a Hulk-like being.
But as Amadeus is able to make contact with Bobby, Weapon X tries to retrieve him while sending a drone after the Hulk.
If anything, this second part of “Weapons of Mutant Destruction” (which comes after “Weapons of Mutant Destruction: Alpha #1”) focuses more on the process of Weapon X developing their new super weapon and trying to perfect it.
For the most part, artwork is great and the story was good but going backward to read these second printings, the storyline gets much better once you reach the end and also after the series is complete in the pags of “Weapon X” and “Totally Awesome Hulk”!
